Gait Up teams up with French footwear giant SIDAS
At the occasion of the “Outdoor By ISPO” event that is currently taking place in Munich, Gait Up announced its brand new collaboration with French foot company SIDAS, one of the world leaders in the footwear retail industry, present in over 7000 stores worldwide.
SIDAS decided to team up with Gait Up on this project with the clear ambition to redefine shoe fitting technology in physical stores.
“This collaboration represents a major milestone for Gait Up, as it gives birth to a new Powered By Gait Up project that reinforces our brand and leadership in the field of gait analysis technology.” says Benoît Mariani (Gait Up CEO).
Within this new his partnership, SIDAS integrates Gait Up’s wearable sensor Physilog® in their shoe-fitting machine, the Feetbox®. Clients are now able to choose between three analysis modes: “Shop Walk Analysis”, “Shop Run Analysis” and “Xperience Run Analysis”. This partnership also involves German company Corpus-e that provided the software application to make this project successful.
“The dynamic metrics provided by Gait Up was the missing part into our digital platform, now providing a full 360 analysis of the shape and stride to make a perfect fit”. says Dirk Rutschmann (Corpus-e Founder & CEO). This featuring enables SIDAS to complete its analysis with spatiotemporal metrics that will add a real value to their offer.
“By adding Gait Up inertial sensor technology to its offer, SIDAS clients will benefit from dynamic assessments of walking and running. This will complete the Feetbox static analysis and enable us to recommend the most adequate global foot solution (insoles, shoes, socks…) to our clients.” says David Baudere (SIDAS R&D Director).
